Electrical Audits

Auditing of electrical installations is done on a quotation basis and rates are determined according to type and size of installation. A pre-audit inspection of the electrical installation will usually be performed to determine the requirements of any particular user.

An electrical audit will entail a detailed inspection of the electrical installation and a full report will be provided to the user detailing all faults and defects which exist and which may have an impact the safety of the electrical installation.

In terms of this audit however, neither the Inspector conducting the audit or the AIA itself will be in a position to quote or suggest costs for remedial work required. Registered electrical contractors will need to be appointed by the user for this purpose and on completion of remedial work to issue the required Certificate of Compliance. An audit may also include a re-inspection service following remedial work to ensure full compliance of all regulations.
