GEIA is an Approved Electrical Inspection Authority accredited by the South African Department of Labour in terms of the Electrical Installation Regulations (2009), and the only one based in Gauteng.

CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE AND/OR ELECTRICAL WORK OR ALTERATIONS TO ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS

We will conduct an inspection of your electrical installation and should our findings indicate that the installation is not compliant with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85, of 1993 (The ACT), we will forward details of our findings to the Department of Labour.

We will also communicate with the relevant electricians and provide initial advice on behalf of complainants in terms of enforcing their legal rights.

Our offices should be contacted to assess the nature of the compliant and relevant costs involved in assisting the public who may be in possession of invalid Certificates of Compliance or unsafe electrical installations as well as processes followed in this regard.
