LEGISLATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Electrical Installation Regulations (2009):

Using the correct version of a Certificate of Compliance

It is important for Sellers, Transfer Attorneys and Financial Institutions to ensure that the correct version of the Certificate of Compliance is issued by a Registered Person. There are still many electricians using the incorrect documentation which will render the Certificate of Compliance invalid.

In line with legislative changes, a new “Test Report” which attaches to the Certificate of Compliance “Annexure 1” will be required to be used for any Certificate of Compliance issued after the 01 March 2013.

The old version of the “Test Report” will still comply with legislation until the 28 February 2013
